Dear School Board,

 

My name is ___________ and I am/was a ___________ at ____________ school.  I attended the school board meeting on June 18th and must say that I and a number of my friends were made to feel unwelcome by the presence of a number of armed police officers and the fact that I was not allowed to come into the main room, but had to wait in the lobby outside, where I could not see or hear what was going on in the meeting.  Was there some kind of security threat for that meeting?  It seemed overdone.
