Dear School Board,

 

My name is ___________ and I am/was a ___________ at ____________ school.  I understand that the district had to make substantial budget cuts for the coming school year, but I am angry that music classes were disproportionally cut.  Compared with other core classes like math, reading, science, social studies, and PE, music was cut 30% compared to the overall 10%.  Do you really value music less than other core subjects?  Do you really think the community agrees?
